Larry Thornburg, missionary in Madrid, Spain wrote: Thank you for granting us the privilege of translating “Lord Jesus, You’re More Excellent.” I’m enclosing a copy of the hymn in Spanish. Our Pastor David Rivero provided the rough draft from English to Spanish and our Spanish music teacher and classical guitarist, Santiago Míguez, worked on the lyrics to match meter and versification using the tune written by Gregory Wilbur. I should say that Santiago, who has written some of our Spanish hymns was quite moved by the words of “You’re More Excellent” in English.
